Steps of the application process

1. Fill out and forward us the family application form and 1-2 photos of the family (see “family register”).

2. Make the first payment as register fee (50€). The rest will be done at the end of the process, once the Au Pair is confirmed (250€ in case of Au Pairs who stay under 3 months and 300€ in case of Au Pairs who stay more than 3 months).

3. Once we receive all the requirements listed in point 1 and 2, INTERAUPAIR will start the search and selection of the Au Pair.

4. INTERAUPAIR will send the family the information of those Au Pairs who better matches their requirements: application form, photos, presentation letter, a mínimum of 2 childcare references, criminal report, medical certifícate,…

5. The family will confirm INTERAUPAIR in which candidate/s they are interested in.

6. If the Au Pair/s is also interested in the family, INTERAUPAIR will organize a conversation between both parts.

7. The family will contact the Au Pair by phone or Skype, and talk about the expectations of the family and other program details.

8. Within 2 days, both parties must inform INTERAUPAIR of their final decision, and INTERAUPAIR will send the family and the Au Pairs the contracts to be signed.

9. The family will have to pay the remaining fee, within 3 days after signing the contract. Otherwise, INTERAUPAIR keeps the right to finalize the agreement without any right to reimbursement.

10. The Au Pair will proceed to start looking for a flight and will have to inform INTERAUPAIR and the family of the arrival date, with sufficient prior notice.

11. Finally, the family will pick the Au Pair up on her arrival day.

12. Within a week, the Au Pair will have to contact INTERAUPAIR to receive the Au Pair Kit, with all the necessary information to facilitate the adaptation to our country (maps, tips, language schools, contacts with other Au Pairs, leisure activities, etc).

13. INTERAUPAIR will contact the family for a follow up, check that both parties are satisfied and clarify any possible doubts.

Remember that it is not easy for the Au Pair or for the family to adapt to this new situation, thus we recommend a little patience and above all, it is important to let the other party clearly know about the expectations of the family.
